USB-8486 configuration 3.0

We currently use PCMCIA-FBUS with communication and configurator 3.0. Since PCMCIA slots are getting harder to find, we are thinking about purchasing a USB-8486.

Will the USB-8486 work with our current software? I assume we'll at least need the driver for the 8486. Where can I get that?

Hello,

USB-8486 driver only exists since NI-FBUS Configurator 4.0. The current latest is version 5.0.

Configurator is currently paid to upgrade, though. If you only use Communication Manager, CM is the free part.

In less than a month, the next release NI-FBUS 14.0 will be released. It's a free upgrade. So you can install 14.0 by that time.
