Search/Split String function supported?

Our team is trying to use the search/split string function and the insert into array function.  They placed these functions from the NXT pallete, the VI is targeted to NXT (orange bottom left) and the VI has a good run arrow.  When they deploy they get the error: "Node is not supported".  If this isn't supported why is it on the pallete and how do we split a string?  We have tried this on two different PCs.

Hi Steve,

Those primitives are only supported for the EV3. On the NXT, we have created replacements using supported primitives. Those are located at MINDSTORMS Robotics>Programming>NXT Primitives. To find them quickly they are also available in Search and Quick Drop.
