Mindstrom NXT program

We bought the new NXT and trying it to recognise a tennis ball and a post it note.

We have tried all sensors and we are not sure which sensor we should use?

For example, Bumber sensor does not recognise anything until it is hit very hard?

We tried light sensor? But does not know how to make it recognise Yellow Tennis, White Pingpong ball and post it notes could of any color?

Utrasonic will only work id the object is about 1/2 feet high?

Any help will be appreciated.

You need to use a "color" sensor, rather than a standard "Light" sensor.

Hitechnics makes one that was included with the FTC kit of parts.
