Double Solenoid?

Solenoid open has a double solenoid option with no explaniation other than do you have 1 or 2 coils.

Does double setup to switch between +12 and -12 so that with the help of some diodes, one relay can drive both sides of a double solenoid?

A diaghram would help the some people.

Double solenoid controls two outputs of the solenoid module at the same time. It has states off (neither output is on), forward (the first output is on, second output is off), reverse (second output is on, first output is off), and on (both outputs are on). This is similar to the relay VIs.

I hadn't noticed it when I looked at the Open vi.  Double enables a second Solenoid relay number to be selected.
