The very same thing I started with LabVIEW but I use color boxes for color code selection.
Good try I would like to give some suggestion.
Try to give the colors itself instead of giving the color names then compare and calculate the resistance.
Try to play with the LabVIEW picture fucntions in this case it would be very good.
