Overview

This example demonstrates the use of the simulate sEMG (Electromyography) and the Mean Power Frequency VI.

Description

Using the LabVIEW Biomedical Toolkit, this example uses the sEMG Express VI to simulate a configurable EMG signal that is graphed and then analyzed with the Mean Power Frequency VI. The Mean Power Frequency can be used to analyze EMG signal in various ways, depending on the testing environment studied.

Steps to Implement or Execute Code

  1. Open Simulated EMG Example 2012.vi. Double-click on the sEMG Express VI in the block diagram to configure the settings as shown below.

The Express VI is pre-configured, but the settings can be changed to model the EMG signal desired.

2. Once you have the signal configured as you want, you can just press the run button and the VI will run.

Requirements

Software: LabVIEW 2012, LabVIEW Biomedical Toolkit
