Description

This example demonstrates the use of a Queued Message Handler (QMH) and the System Exec function to send arguments to command line programs.

 

It is essential a wrapper for the Camera Validator, which is installed with NI Vision Acquisition Acquisition software, which provides functionality for camera manfactures to test their IEEE 1394 and GigE cameras. More information can be found on the Camera Validator here:

Upon opening the Camera Validator LabVIEW VI, it will search the system for IMAQdx Firewire and GigE cameras, and will attempt to generate debug files for each of them. The below image shows the Camera Validator after the files have been generated.

 

 

 

The Detail View tab shows the entire log, while the Simple View parses the log for the attribute name and if it was validated or not.

 

 

This was build using LabVIEW 2013.
