X-Series (PXIe-6341) Analog Out Linux

I've been able to get the DIO to work on this card and am trying to get AO to work.  I have the X-Series NIMHDDK and am trying to just get the aoex1 example working.

Has anyone had any success with AO this, I would assume it's in the X-Series packages so it should work?

From the documentation it looks like it is a V out card, so I should be able to scope the AO 0 or AO 1 port, or is it really a current driver and I need a load resistor?

Thanks

Hi John,

I would expect the analog output examples to work out-of-the-tarball. Are you seeing different behavior?

The X Series devices use DACs to generate voltage; they do not have a current driver. For more information about components and connectivity, see the user manual (page 98 -- http://digital.ni.com/manuals.nsf/websearch/897D562DADBBF48E86257DB000560712 ).
