Quiere decir:

acquire from a sound card at 96kHz

I want to use a high quality sound card (sampling rate of 96kHz) to aquire sound data and process it with LabView7. Is it possible? I have seen that sound vi's seems to be limited at 44100 Hz... Thank you in advance!

Hello,

The high value of 44K is only listed as a common rate.  The Help for the function states that "Common rates are 44,100 S/s, 22,050 S/s, and 11,025 S/s." however, this is not to imply that these are the only options available.  The limitations of this VI will be imposed by your sound card and the driver you are using.  I tried using 96000 as a value for my sampling rate in the shipping example (Help >> Find Examples) Continuous Sound Input.vi and it seemed to work fine.  Let me know if you have questions.

One note for future reference,  this post is in the Spanish discussion forums.  You will probably get answers more quickly if you post in the English forums.

A quick note on this:

LabVIEW 7.1 and below only support a set of sampling rates (44100, 22050, 11025, 8000). However, LabVIEW 8 introduced a new set of VIs that allow you to pass an arbitrary sampling rate. If I'm not mistaken, LabVIEW 8 Will support 96K sampling rate. I can't test this because I don't have a good sound card; but I think there should be no problem.

You can download the LabVIEW 8 demo to test this out. I hope this helps.
