"No Digital IO found" encountered with PCI-6221 running Matlab R2007a on Windows Vista...

I have a NI PCI-6221 card installed on a Windows Vista PC. Software installed:
- NI-DAQmx Version 8.5 for Windows 2000/Vista x64/Vista x86/XP
- Matlab R2007a with Data Acquisition Toolbox 2.10

When I tried to run a program (which requires data IO) on Matlab, the error "No Digital IO found" popped up. I really need the PCI-6221 to work with matlab on Vista. I've checked everything. All the software and hardware should be compatible. A C-compiled version of the program runs fine, but the matlab version does not. So I figured that either matlab's data acquisition toolbox or Windows vista or NIDAQmx or all of them is not compatible. Could someone give me a helping hand? I'm pulling my hair out about this. Thank you very much.

Hey kronomike,

Thanks for contacting National Instruments support.  I agree that all of the versions of your software are Vista capable.  However since a C-compiled version functions properly it leads me to beleive that there is an issue with the Data Acquisition Toolkit from MathWorks©.  Have you posed this question to MathWorks©

You can go to Measurement and Automation Explorer and use the test panels as well to determine if your card is functioning properly. Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi,

We've been testing R2007a MATLAB and Data Acquisition Toolbox 2.10 with 32 bit Vista and NI-DAQmx 8.5, and have not seen the issue that you've seen.  Just to check, I went into our lab and double checked with a USB-6211 and a (simulated) PCI-6221.  Both worked OK.  Can you either post or send me some simple M code that shows the problem, and the results of the command DAQSUPPORT?

Thanks,

Thanks for everybody's help. After uninstallation of Matlab and NIDAQmx, I reinstalled Matlab R2007a and NIDAQmx 8.5 in that particular. Then matlab can reconize the PCI-6221, and everything works fine now. Don't know why but it does.
😄

Thanks again.
