Use of Visual C/C++ 6.0 is not supported on Windows 10 (unless you can follow off-site policy installation procedures). So, on new PC, USB8451 is only usable with Labview.
In other words, with more than 400$ you'll buy a device that, without buying Labview, could be only used as a paperweight.
I believe that in order to have sense, USB8451 device need a .net solution (easily developed starting from existing VC6 .dll) to be used also by vb/vba/etc.
Really disappointed.

Hi bubugian,
I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed. Unfortunately the board USB-8451 is not supported by any version of NI software, because even our DAQmx drivers don't support it (you can check that here: http://download.ni.com/support/softlib//multifunction_daq/nidaqmx/15.5/readme.html)
Products have a lifespan and unfortunately we are not able to provide continuous support for our oldest products on all the newest operating systems. I hope you can find a way to downgrade your system or upgrade your hardware base!
Best,

Hi bubugian,
nevermind, I definitely checked the wrong drivers for the board. From the readme (http://download.ni.com/support/softlib//embedded%20networks/I2C_SPI/ni-845x/16.0/readme.htm) it seems that Microsoft Visual C/C++ 6.0 (or newer) is supported. You were not able to make it work?
Sorry for the mistake above.
Best,
