Temperature rating and capacitance loading of SHC68 cables

Hi,

I'm trying to talk via I2C to a part in a thermal chamber.

Does anyone have any values for the temperature rating of the SHC68 cables and their capacitive loading?

Regards,

Tangent.

Hey Tangent,

What specific cable are you using? Do you have a part number for the cable you want to use? And what temperatures do you need to go up to?

Thanks,

DJ L.

Hi,

I'm thinking of using the SHC68-68-RDIO cable. It needs to withstand -40'C to 125'C.

I'm also trying to establish the capacitance loading of the cable or each channel in the cable.

Thanks,

Tangent.

Hi,

On the cable itself, it shows a (presumably max) rating of 75 degrees C.

As for the loading, the max loading is 20pF/ft but it wouldn't suprise me if it were lower.

Hi Tangent,

The information Mark provided is correct, 75 deg C is the max temperature supported by this cable.

Thanks Everyone.

20pF/ft is goo dbut sadly I need to go up to 125'C so I'll need to source an intermediate cable to interface between the thermal chamber and the SHC68-68RDIO.
