RESERVED pin on PXIe-6537?

Solved!
Go to solution

In the Help file for the PXIe-6537, there is a "Front Panel and Connector Pinout" illustration and table.

The illustration shows Pin 8 as GND.

However, the table below lists pin 8 as a RESERVED pin, *not* a GND.

I'm designing a board to interface to the 6537. Should I ground pin 8, or leave it floating?

Hey Tom,

Pin 8 in the illustration should say RESERVED, and not GND, and therefore you should not connect to it. We will be updating the image in the next revision of the help file. So to answer your direct question, leave pin 8 floating (do not connect to it). Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thanks, and have a great day.

Regards,

DJ L.
