Force sensor with NI USB-6501

Hello,

I have a NI USB-6501 I/O device, and a piezoelectric force sensor. Is it a simple device that I could use to connect them ? I guess it should both amplify the signal and convert analog to digital, therefore I might have to switch to the NI USB-6009 for its analog port ?

Hi Alex_h,

Thank you for posting on the National Instruments forum.

The USB-6501 is a digital I/O device and you will not be able to take analog measurement from the sensor using this device. However, since the USB-6009 has both analog and digital channels, you would be able to measure your analog signal.
