I have 24vdc DIO from a DCS that I would like to read via an NI card installed in an x86 system running Linux. I could purchase a static DIO card that has no isolation, but has Linux drivres (via comedi) and buy something from opto22 or crydom to interface this from 5vdc to 24vdc. Though perhaps there are other alternatives.
