You can try out version 9.1 of DIAdem by just downloading and installing the demo version available on the NI website. The link to the download location is here:

Just download the DIAdem version you need (I recommend DIAdem Version 9.1 for Windows -- SP2 (March 2005, English) if you live outside of Germany) and install it. It should run with DIAdem 8.1 installed on the same machine. You can try out the new features and the Data Plugin Andreas created for you with that version for 30 days until the Demo expires. If you decide to upgrade, you can simply unlock the demo version and turn it into a full DIAdem version without having to uninstall and reinstall anything.
DIAdem version 9.1 has some very nice new features, I recommend you check out the new version 9 features here:
