Export to PDF from reports page

I have a report saved in .tdr format that contains multiple pages.  When I try to export to PDF, it only exports the first page of the 7 that are contained in the report view.  The only way I can seem to get all the pages exported to PDF format in a single file is to use the script command PicPDFExport call.  It does not seem like you should have to use a script to export multi page reports from within the report view.

Does anyone know how you can export all the pages into a single pdf file without using the script command? (i.e. why does selecting File->PDF Export only export the first page from the report view screen?)

Hi JimNoel,

I tried to reproduce what you described on my system and I don't appear to have the same issue.

What I did was I created a report with 2 sheets, and with a graph on each. Then I clicked File»PDF Export... and saved the pdf file. When I opened up the pdf file, it had both sheets in the document.

What version of DIAdem are you using? (I am using version 10.2)
Also, when you mention that your report contains multiple 'pages', do you mean sheets? (Multiple tabs on the bottom of the DIAdem screen)
Could you perhaps upload a copy of your tdr file?

Jervin

I am using version 10.2 and yes when I stated mulitple pages, I did mean sheets.

I did notice this morning that if I dont have any of my data loaded (i.e. report contents empty) and I select the File->PDF Export, then it appears to export all sheets to the pdf.  However, if I load my data and then refresh the report and re-try to perform the export function, then it only exports the first sheet.

Not sure why having data loaded or not makes a difference so I have attached both the .tdr report and .tdm/.tdx data so if you could investigate why this is occurring I would appreciated it.  Also, as I mentioned before if I use the script command  PicPDFExport then it appears to export all the sheets but I dont believe I should have to use a script command to perform this function when a menu option is available.

Hello Jim!

The reason might be that there are errors in the layout. In the DIAdem log file there are a lot Type mismatch 'DateArray' (translated German->English) errors. Try to eleminate this error and try again.

BTW: The masterlayout was not embedded in the TDR.

Hello Jim!

I played a little bit around and found out that mixing index based and non index based curves in the upper system causes the problem.

Hey Matthias,

If you can reproduce this, would you send a TDR and a data set so that I can hand it over to R&D to look into?

This sounds like a bug,

I can see if I can get rid of the errors but those errors are reported regardless of whether there was data loaded or not and when data is not loaded the export works even though the errors are present.  Also what is different in the operation of selecting File-PDF Export and executing the script command PicPDFExport - it would seem DIAdem would be doing the same process for each?

Attached is the master layout if that would help you.

Hello Brad!

I was able to reproduce this in DIAdem 10.2.1f3219 with the files Jim attached. Do you need something else?

Interesting,

When I load the TDR and print to PDF with my DIAdem 10.2.1f3219, I get both pages in the PDF file.  I have USI 1.5.1.3216, which I seem to remember got bumped up recently, but I don't know if that's relevant.  I'm using an English OS-- are y'all using a German OS?

I heard yesterday from R&D that this could happen if there are some graphs/curves with channel name referencing and others with channel number referencing, but I haven't ever seen that result in only 1 PDF page getting printed on my computer, and it doesn't make a lot of sense (though, who knows?).

Hello Brad!

You say 'I got both pages in the PDF file' but I have 7 pages in Jim's layout. Do I miss something?
