Eval Software does not function properly, some buttons do not work in app.

I have installed the DIAdem evaluation software on my WinXP laptop.  When I run the application, I can read in data and manipulate it; however, some of the buttons/functions do not work.  specifically, the zoom features, and cursor types can not be changed either via the radio buttons, or drop down menu.  I have installed the application on other WinXP machines and it works fine.  Are there known compatability issues?  If so, where can I find a resource?  I do wich to purchase the software since it is exactly what I need; however, if I cannot use it on my field computer then I will be unable to buy it.

Hi Chris,

I believe that you may have come across a common issue with an easy fix.  Do you have MacAfee virus checker installed?  Sometimes this software causes some conflicts with DIAdem.  Also, the KnowledgeBase suggests installing Service Pack 2.  However, there is a newer service pack that you can install.  This is not just a patch but a full install.  So make sure you uninstall DIAdem then reinstall this service pack.  Also, DIAdem will ask you to activate but you can also have a 30 day evaluation period if you just choose ot evalutate instead of activate when promted after install.
