Calculator Formula backtracing

Hello,

Is it possible to see how a channel was calculated (which formula/values where used)? E.g when using the Calculator to create a new channel in a group by multiplying 2 channels of the same group:

Ch("Power")=Ch("[1]/Revs")*Ch("[1]/Torque")*2*Pi

Can I "back trace" the newly created channel to this formula?

Hello ZerMahlMeer,

The only thing I can think of is the "Description" field that is stored with the channel in the DataPortal. It will look like this:

The "Description" field will contain the formula used to calculate the channel, and if you save the file to TDM/TDMS that field will be persistent.
