Adding labels to a 2D axis graph either in View or Report?

I am trying to display some data on a 2D axis system in View.  And label the points on the graph either by entries in another channel, or with a property from one of the coordinate channels (either the x or y channel).  I would like the resulting graph to look similar to the picture below.  Is there a way to label individual points on the graph in View?

Hi Steve,

You can do this within Report.  There are certain curve types, for instance the "Line and Points"type which allow you to add labels at certain data points.  This can be selected by right-clicking the curve and selecting Display.  Here you can select Line and Points display mode, select the Labels tab, and enter in the Text and Position information that will modify how the labels appear. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your response.  I'm working out how to call out the specific points that I want to label.

As a follow-up question, is there a way to format each data point in a specific line?  For example, in the image above, I've labelled the 5 data points with "Level 1", "Level 2", etc.  Is there a way to change the symbol shape based on the "level" across all of the lines on the graph, and then add a legend that shows what each "level" the symbols represent?

Hi Steve,

It's possible in a REPORT 2D/3D graph to have the curve/surface color automatically change based on the vertical axis value of that curve/surface at each point.  It is not possible to do the same thing with marker type.

Hi Steve,

Im happy to pass along this feature request to R&D, but it's the first time in the 10 years I've been supporting DIAdem that a customer has asked for this, so I doubt it'll be hightly prioritized.

Has anyone else out there always wished they could this?  If so, please chime in-- I'll monitor this thread for feedback.

Hi Brad,

I am using the diadem23Q2 - and I am not able find way how to add label to the channel curve (at specific time, or specific event) I you have channel with 3500 sec with sampling 32Hz is not good idea show every point description when you need only one. And adding description manually and change it everytime, when the data are changed is little bit frustrating.
