Hello,
I need to measure the temperature from thermocouple with DataShuttle-3000 and Dasylab. The datashuttle 3000 is specified as 'thermocouple input on any of the 8 differential inputs'. When I try to set up the analog input module (PQaq3k-1:Al) in the Dasylab, there is Channel Setup-Channel Configuration-Select Range or TC Type, unfortunately, I can not find TC type. Only voltage range available. Anybody can help with this problem.
Cheers,
Baicy

Hi Baicy,
So you cannot find the type of your thermocouple?

Baicy,
What version of DASYLab and the hardware driver are you using? In the US, this device is called a PersonalDAQ3000.
Using DASYLab 10 and the latest IOtech Enhanced driver, I had no problem selecting TC for the range. Have you configured the device for differential channels? have you configured oversampling? The hardware help has an extensive section for measuring temperature with the PersonalDAQ3000 series.
Tutorial - Temperatures with PersonalDaqs
The PersonalDaq/3000 Series devices are designed for high-speed acquisitions of voltage inputs, and low-speed acquisitions to obtain temperature readings. Extra configuration is required to obtain accurate temperature readings from your device.
First you will need to enable oversampling and line-cycle rejection, and adjust the Analog Inputs from single-ended to differential mode.
Please have a look at the help, and if that is insufficient, call your hardware vendor for direct assistance.

Thank you CJ.
The device is PersonalDaq 3000, and the version No. of DasyLab is 9.0. I think that I have installed the lastest IOtech Enhanced dirver. Please find the version info in the attachement.
I have configured the device for differential channels in the DaqView, and configured oversampled *256 at Hardware configuration-properties. There is still no TC options, could you please take a look of the jpg attached and give me some suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Baicy,
You must configure the device for differential channels in DASYLab. DAQview settings are not transferred.
I have to point you back to the help file. On my computer it's called iotdcdasy.chm, in the C:\Program Files\DASYLab 9.0 folder.
From within DASYLab, click on the Help menu, and then choose Driver. It will be labeled "IOtech Enhanced DASYLab Driver Guide"
On the left, navigate to the Tutorial section. Double click to open it, and then click on the last entry, "Temperature Measurement with PersonalDaq/3000s".
This gives you an illustrated, step by step setup for thermocouples.
This section is too long to repeat here.
If this does not work, you should be contacting your reseller directly. They are equipped to assist you.
