PCI-6602 Time and Position from Quadrature Encoder

I am new to NI and have purchased a PCI 6602 and have an older copy of LabView 6.1.  I need to use LabView and the PCI 6602 to obtain a distance vs time plot from a linear quadrature encoder.

Can anyone point me to or send an example of how to do this?

I am starting at the very beginning so any help would be very beneficial!

Thanks for your post!

I see that you have a 6602 and need to perform some counter applications. Since you are new to NI I would suggest looking in the example finder for some of the counter examples. If you go to Help >> Find Examples,  There will be some helpful counter examples for you to look at. Go to the Hardware Input and Output area of the example finder. The only big question here is are you using the DAQmx driver of the Traditional DAQ driver?  

Let us know if this helps you find some examples that will aid you in the construction of your applications.
