The feature you are referring to is under the PlaceàJumper menu, this feature basically places two through-hole pads on the work area and when you finished your board, you would place a physical wire in the hole makes the connection.  The nice thing about this feature is that it allows you easily place the two holes and it gives you a visual that a jumper was used and as well, when you run connectivity check, it knows that a connection was made and won’t give you a warning.

If you select the Place menu and find this option is not available, it is likely not you your version in this case you have to place two vias manually and when you run connectivity check, you will get a warning; however, you should ignore the message.  When you produce the board, you will not see a difference.

Hi Roel,

Ultiroute does not place the jumper for you automatically, this is only for manual routing.  Check the Place menu, if you don’t see an option for jumper then the version you are using does not have this feature.

This is not OK, because its listed on the supported features here:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5609#toc4

but if i place it manually, i will did not call this "automatic".

lidi, the name automatic comes from the sense that you do not need to place a footprint or select a part from the database, the name automatic is in the sense that you just click the two endpoints for the jumper location and is automatically inserted there. That is also the reason why this feature is not listed under the "routing" features... because the autorouter will not insert them for you...

Hi,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to configure your autorouter to place jumpers. You have to manually place them if needed and then you can autoroute the remaining board.

Hope this helps.
