Z-spacing attribute from DICOM

Hello.

I'm wondering, how can I get z-spacing value from DICOM. Biomedical built-in function returns cluster of attributes in which is slice thickness value. As I readed, it isnt the same.

I used Volview for the same DICOM and actually it returns both as different atributes. Is there any way to get z-spacing using Labview DICOM read function? I enclose screenshots from Labview and Volview.

Thanks for help,
Michal

Hi Michal,

You can not get z spacing value from DICOM.

The z spacing is computed from the Image Position (Patient) (0020,0032) and Image Orientation (Patient) (0020,0037) between two adjacent slices. You can't get the value of these two tags using Biomedical toolkit 2012.
