NiCan callback

Hi guys,

I am trying USB CAN 8473 and I am using the Frame API for Borland C provided. May I know if there is any C example on callback functions for transmit and receive NI CAN msgs? I found out that this USB 8473 does not support certain functions. Is ncCreateNotification supported in this case?

Hey Slytherin,

The ncCreateNotification function is supported as long as you are using the USB 8473 and not the 8473s (s = with Sync).  Please refer to page 343 of the NI-CAN Hardware and Software manual for more information.

Also, examples for Borland C are installed on your PC when you install the NI-CAN driver.  The only thing you need to do is install Borland C support when configuring the installer for the driver.  Once you have installed the driver, the examples will be located in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-CAN\Borland C
