NICAN.dll problem

Hello,

I have Labview 18.0 and I have installed the NI-CAN drivers 18.5 on my computer without error.

But when i open the VI examples of the nican.llb as ncOpen.vi, the VI is not running (running arrow is broken) and an error message happened.

message is: Call library function Node: library not found or failed to load.

Detail message is: The librairy specified for this node cannot be found or cannot be loaded. Right-click the Call Library Function node and select Configure, then choose the correct library name or path.

I add the picture of theVI and the error message.

Does someone can help me to solve this error type please?

During the opening of the VI, nican.dll is not found and I have to select manually the directory where it is located.

It is strange because the nican.dll and other .dll are located in the National Inst. directory at \RT Images\NI-CAN\.

Is it normal?

Thnaks for your support.

Stef

Hi,

are you using the 64-bit Version of LabVIEW?

To my knowledge, NI-CAN is a 32-bit only driver. Therefore, it requires using the 32-bit version of LabVIEW.

Thanks for your quick ansewer.

I'm using Labview 64-bit.

In that case, I have to install 32-bit version to use NI-CAN drivers.

Thanks a lot.
