Are there virtual channels in X-NET?

Are there virtual channels in X-NET?

With the NI-CAN drivers, CAN256 and CAN257 are software-based virtual CAN channels. I'm looking for similar capability with the X-NET drivers and cannot find it. Do virtual channels exist in X-NET? If so, how do I access them? If not, why were they dropped and might they come back? Thanks!

What is the end goal that you are using virtual channels to achieve?

Running custom CAN applications in a simulated network environment without needing physical hardware. It's great for simulating systems and prototyping application code.

Virtual channels/ports do not exist in XNET today. I agree that it is a useful feature, but I can give no timelines for if/when this feature will be added to NI-XNET.
