I just received my new myRIO hardware... I installed the software (3 Disks) and used the NI update service to make sure I made the latest versions and bug fixes...
After starting LabVIEW, I tried to use the "Launch the Getting Started Wizard"... Getting a "No NI myRIOS were found" window...
The unit is powered and connected to the USB port on my computer, because the myRIO Unit does show up under MAX - But indicates that Windows does not have a driver associated with it...
I went to the ni.com/drivers site and installed the drivers - Made no difference...
Any suggestions from users on how to fix this? Feels like I'm making a "newbie" type of mistake but can't seem to resolve it...

Hi,
I am encoutering the same problem as yours, but in win 7. I tried to install myRIO manually, but I coundn't find the myRIO unit on the "other devices" section on Device Manager. It seems that the computer always recognize the myRIO unit as "National Instrument USBLAN adapter", which shows up in the "network adapters" section. I wonder if you encoutered the same situation?
Thank you very much,

Hey Hunado,
That is exactly how the myRIO should show up. It acts as a Virtual Network adapter to establish a connection to your development computer. (Let me know if you have questions about this. )
Are you able to see the myRIO in MAX under Remote Devices? Do you have a firewall enabled?
Thanks!

Atom,
A few more details about what steps you have already tried may help us solve the problem. You can include screenshots of your NI-MAX application and Windows Device Manager to help us troubleshoot. Please be as detailed as possible.

I have the same problem using Win7 with firewall turned off.
The USBLAN Adapter is intstalled.
MAX shows this device present and I can open up the system configuration in IE.
However the wizard cannot located myRIO - any suggestions?

Hi Roger_P_Case,
Can you start a new thread for your question? This thread is several months old and a new thread will likely get more traffic.
