probably a lot of people here has done a PID controller,

also communicated PING sensor with myRIO

and done PID with myRIO.

you need to share more information. What is your difficulty? is it the sensor? is it the PID? is it myRIO?

I'm having trouble with the sensor and PID parts to determine the transfer function and what I've done is just making the pid program but there are still many errors, because I don't know in detail the PID method.

In general, these forum are used to solve problems related hardware or software, if you don't share what you have done, what you need to do, nobody will be able to help.
