NI mydaq and windows 7

I am having trouble to get the NI mydaq to work with my Windows 7 laptop.

It appears in device manager but the DAQ assistant in Labview does not see any device. Also, the device is not recognized in Measurement and Automation. I have also ran the NI myDAQ Troubleshooting Utility and it said that the device is not recognized in MAX.

I have, however, gotten the myDAQ to work on a Windows XP computer, but it is very important that I am able to get it to work on my laptop.

I have Windows 7 64 bit

Dell D830

NI ELVISmx 4.3

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi JaySp,

Can you clarify what you mean when you say that the device is not recognized in Measurement and Automation Explorer, does it show up at all under devices and interfaces?

Also when you see it in device manager, does it have a yellow exclamation mark next to it?

Finally, what version of DAQmx drivers do you have on your laptop? From looking at people who have had similar issues in the past, it seems that updating to the latest version of DAQmx often helps solve the problem.

Thanks,

Hi Jeff-P,

The device does not appear at all under devices and interfaces in the Measurement and Automation Explorer. Also, there is no exclamation mark next to it in device manager. The DAQmx driver is version 9.3.5 and is also the same version that was on the Windows XP computer. Is there a more recent version of this driver? If so, where do I go to download it?

The latest version of DAQmx is 9.4 and is available here

Please let me know if that helps your problem
