ELVIS and MyDAQ run only up to 600 Hz in Windows 7 on VMWARE FUSION on my MAC

In Testing my MyDAQ on my MAC I use Windows 7 in VMWARE FUSION, all latest revisions !!

The Function Generator and Scope run fine UP TO around 600 Hz, after taht a Buffer Underrun occurs and It will not run.

After searching on the site I found and installed the native MAC driver and the ELVIS APPS who run without a flaw up to 20 kHz, ok the sine is not so nice anymore.

According to the VMWARE Support desk FUSION does not slow the USB whatsoever....

Does anybode experienced the same?? solved it ??? or has a reasonable explanation for this " Problem"  ?

Good morning Fred,

As you can see from this KB

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6C8810E7E3712358862579C800528432?OpenDocument

testing on the Virtual Machine you're using has shown some performance limitations. Given the hosted nature of the VM, the variable speed of data transfer associated with USB pass-through may cause errors when communicating with DAQ devices. This is mainly due to the emulation layer of USB and the amount of traffic between the VM and Mac OS.

As you can see a possible work around for this issue is to increase the buffer size on the host. Alternatively you can use Mac OS Boot Camp or  install Daqmx for your OS.
