Jabil Circuit is hiring 4 full time positions in Colorado Springs to start a new team of Test Developers.  For each of these positions, they would like someone with domain expertise in the Storage and Computing industry as well as experience in the manufacturing test arena.  LabVIEW and TestStand experience, among other tools, is preferred, but domain expertise and manufacturing test experience are most important.  The available jobs include:

  • Test Development Project Manager
  • Test Development Engineer (x2)
  • Test Development Principal Engineer

Electrical / Software Engineer (LabVIEW)

Position Summary:

This experienced, inquisitive, and self-motivated engineer will be charged with the creation, maintenance, and evolution of data acquisition and control software for the company’s precision solar cell instrumentation products. This role requires intimate familiarity with LabVIEW™ graphical programming language with emphasis in data acquisition and orientation toward user experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in EE or CS or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least one year full-time experience with LabVIEW™
  • Experience and knowledge of data acquisition best practices
  • Understanding of electrical signals and circuitry for signal conditioning
  • Understanding of terms and principles of mechanics, physics, optics, and metrology
  • Appreciation for, and design orientation toward, optimal user experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly with engineers and customers
  • Experience with and knowledge of software revision control best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in hardware-based technology and/or manufacturing business
  • Experience integrating LabVIEW™-created software with external databases and the internet
  • Experience interfacing LabVIEW™-created software with factory automation equipment
  • Knowledge of GUI programming languages other than LabVIEW™
  • Information systems management experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly develop familiarity with existing LabVIEW™-based  software modules
  • Add customized features to standard product software in conjunction with customer requests
  • Write novel code in conjunction with new and existing hardware product offerings
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to ensure proper production process for software bound for customers
  • Work with documentation personnel to ensure accurate depiction of software capabilities and usage in internal and external documentation
  • Work with management to identify and prioritize software engineering projects

ATE Technical Services have received numerous requests recently from hiring managers to interview for contract positions as LabVIEW programmers and Test Engineers. But due to limited staff and resources, we are not able to undertake these opportunities. Thus we are currently looking to expand our pool of LabVIEW Contractors throughout the U.S. Many of the current projects needing immediate help are in southern california, but we expect to have opportunities throughout the USA. LabVIEW Engineer / System Integration Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

  1. Interprets customer engineering needs into a system integration project which centers on LabVIEW code.
  2. Ensures customer engineering needs are met.
  3. Participates in position and department growth.

DUTIES

  • Define and implement quality engineering solutions that are both affordable to the customer and profitable to the employer.
  • Execute projects in a hands-on leadership role.
  • Achieve on-time deliveries.
  • Perform complex LabVIEW code designs and system integration services.
  • Perform system level troubleshooting and repairs of process controls.
  • Installs equipment and verifies process function.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished as defined by generating work proposals, specifications, blueprints, and sketches; conferring with engineers and technicians.
  • Prepares test reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions.
  • Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
