Guidelines:

1. The code you submit must be your code.
2. Entries must be new code, but can cover an example topic already in the NI Community.
3. The following are not eligible to enter or win
   1. Employees of the contest sponsor
   2. Family members of the contest sponsor
4. You can submit as many example code documents for the qualifying round as you would like, but you must submit only one example code per submission document. Make sure you follow the template as closely as possible and include a VI Snippet.  Here is a quick video for how to Create a VI Snippet

Tournament Details:

The qualifying round will be open to all eligible NI Community Users.   The selection of the First Round Top 16 for the tournament and seat placement will be based on total "Likes", number of downloads, and a weighted sum of "Ratings" for the document.  We will use views and comments for tie-breakers.

The tournament will consist of 4 rounds of code development, with each round utilizing code from rounds previous.  The Top 16 players will each create a new document for the tournament and will add a new section to their document per round.  Code written in earlier rounds can be reused, edited, and corrected for consecutive rounds as the contestant sees fit.  Each round will have a 24 HOUR voting period every Monday open to the entire community to acrue points.  The user with the most user votes in each face-off will move to the next round which starts every Tuesday.

2nd, 3rd, 4th place: Amazon gift cards

Tournament Champion's affiliated User Group : $300 prize pack - iphone cases, mousepads, etc.

First Round Top16 Challenge Dev Time: March 8 - 11:59 pm March 13

First Round Top 16 Voting: March 14 from 9am - March 15 9am CST (GMT -6:00)

Quarterfinals Top 8 Challenge Dev Time: March 15 - 11:59pm March 20

Quartefinals Top 8 Voting: March 21 from 9am - March 22 9am CST (GMT -6:00)

Semifinals Top 4 Challenge Dev Time: March 22 - 11:59pm March 27

Semifinals Top 4 Voting: March 28 from 9am - March 29 9am CST (GMT -6:00)

Coding Championship Challenge Dev Time: March 29 - 11:59pm April 3

Coding Championship Voting: April 4 from 9am - April 5am CST (GMT -6:00)
