Shutdown of cRIO or sbRIO via software command

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

After a bit of digging around I still haven't found a software command to shutdown a cRIO or sbRIO. There is a restart vi, but not a shutdown. I am wondering if I miss something someone may know.  For a RT Linux RIO it may be possible using a Linux command,  I wonder? And for a VxWork , any idea? Thx

In general, it doesn't look like power management isn't very well supported. It looks like there is a command to do so on Linux RT systems:

I did some digging and there's a little more information in the following forum post, and it seems like there are certain utilities for Windows which are not available for RT.

Thx for the finds.

Robust power management capabilities would be very valuable to expand the applicability of these targets.
