Can not add fpga targets

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I have recently installed a NI PCIe-7852R in my computer and I can see the card is installed in the NI max. However, I can not seem to possibly configure it in any way from NI max.

Also I am unable to add this card as a target during creating a project. In fact I dont see the option of adding new targets and devices when I right click on the my computer icon in the project explorer window.

I am using Labview version 13.0.0, FPGA module 13.0.0, NI RIO version 12.1.0

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Anurup

Hello Anurup

You might need to upgrade your NI RIO version, please look at this compatibility table linked: NI-RIO and LabVIEW Version Compatibility.

Here you can find it: NI RIO 13.

Hello Frank.

Thanks for the suggestion. Upgrading the version did help. Also, since the above card uses Virtex 5 chip for the FPGA, i also had to install Xilinx version 14 for compliation.

Thanks,

Anurup
