Hi,
On several occasions, I have gotten computer reboots and/or blue screen (BSOD) errors while using DAQmx and a 6602 counter card. It is for the most part, pretty random. I have looked at the minidump files and they all say that nimxdfk.dll is the problem. Is there any information on this type of crash? I am using DAQmx 9.4. If I can provide any other information, please let me know.
Thanks.

can you post one of your minidumps? Can you set Windows to do a full memory dump and post that when/if it happens?

Attached are two minidump files. Extention is renamed to .txt from .dmp. I will change the option to do a full memory dump.

Thanks,
The good news is that they both seem to be related to the same issue. Let me know if you get a full memory dump. That will help, too. Does this happen somewhat related to when you reboot the OS?

Not really. Sometimes the user starts acquiring data and the computer reboots, other times they are not really doing anything and it reboots. The majority of the time it works fine. I just updated all of the drivers and BIOS for this computer to see if that was causing anything. I'll just wait for another crash to happen and get that full log.

What is the status of a remedy on this issue? I am experiencing the same problem and require a resolution.
Thanks,

Hi Abe,
Keep an eye out for DAQmx 9.5--it should release some time this quarter and has a fix for this problematic behavior.

By the way, this thread got split into two. I posted a workaround to the other thread: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Re-nimxdfk-dll-causes-blue-screen/m-p/1766934#M67407
