daqmx installation error

Hello everybody,

I have a problem when I am installing a data acquisition's program  in an other laptop. I develloped an application in a desktop, I made a installer with daqmx 8.5, runtime and my application. When I install this installer in an other laptop, I have a problem to install my device usb 6215. This error appear "Completing the found new hardware wizard USB/621x loader An error occured during the installation of the device. The system cannot find the file specified".

I have windows 2000 in the laptop. Do you know how I can resolve this problem?

Hi Fred,

Have you tried uninstalling the device completely and installing again? For most cases try following these steps:

1. Turn off the computer and unplug the 6215.

2. If "USB-621x Loader" still shows up under device manager, delete it or restart your computer

3. Power on the 6215 and plug it into the usb - it should go through the same auto install that you saw on your PC

You can also try right clicking on the "USB-621x Loader" under device manager and selecting "update driver"

Another question do you have any firewall on your Notebook?

Hello,

I don't have a firewall, this computer is not on the network. Now, I am trying to re-install windows in my laptop, I will put windows XP. I will say to you if it's ok with that.
