Hello!
Can anyone tell me how to synchronize data acquisition using two USB-6251 Dataloggers and LabView SignalExpress Ver. 3.0?
It seems like there are two possibilities:
- Use the same Trigger for both Dataloggers (Start/Stop at exactly the same time) <-- this would suffice
- Use the same Timebase for both Dataloggers (both use a Master-Timebase generated in one of the Dataloggers) <-- this is even better/exacter, I suppose (?)
I could not get any of these possibilities running yet. I connected the two Dataloggers via PFI Line but I can't get a Clock-signal out of the "Master" device.
How do I define this in SignalExpress?
Is it possible at all to use the same clocksource on both Dataloggers? Most help-documents I read, say so, but nowhere is explained how to do it.
How do I route the Sample Clock out to a PFI Line?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Hi Markurs,
you can see how a project for the synchronization of devices in SignalExpress looks like, if you open the "Synchronized Analog Input (Share Trigger and Timebase)".seproj in the directory SignalExpress\Examples\DAQmx. In the project documentation tab you find infos about the project and its target.
Of course you need to look at the handbook and specs of your devices to get the specific infos:
M Series User Manual
I hope I could help you in your project.
Best Regards
Andrea
