Installing daqmx 15, .net framework options disabled

I am installing daqmx 15.0 on a win7 box and am unable to install the daqmx .net assemblies as the options are visible but disabled.  Checked the same installer against another box, no problems.

I checked to see if the frameworks were installed.  The 4.6.1 roll-up was, so I thought the installer might be missing the individual frameworks packaged in it.  I uninstalled 4.6.1 and individually installed frameworks 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5.1.  Rebooted, but the options are still disabled.

VS 2013 and MS 15.0 are currently installed on the box.

Any insight appreciated,

Derek Hopkins

Are you able to "repair" the installation and add .NET support? You can follow the below KnowledgeBase article.

If that does not work, can you post a screenshot of the installation window and any errors you receive?

Maggie,

thanks for your quick reply.  I did try to "repair" by re-running the installer to add the daqmx assemblies.  I have done this before when I flaked on the original install.  The install options are always disabled.

Thinking you might have meant "repair" to mean from the windows control panel, I opened that and noticed that a summer student had previously installed daqmx 16 (I need 15 for this application to maintain reference compatibility in my solution).  This may be the cause of the issue.  I am going to wipe the box down to the bare OS and try rebuilding.  I will report back with the results.

Thanks,

Derek

I apologize that I was not more clear, I did mean repair in the Windows control panel. Having DAQmx 16.0 on your computer will not allow you to also use 15.0, so let us know if uninstalling 16.0 works.
