format an evs can be possible?

i was using an max, to try to upgrade an  evs1464rt,  when it stop  the communication between max  and evs, ive been trying to  make it work, but it just dont, doesnt detect the evs IP, 

the monitor  has no signal, but it seems to work ok, but just doesnt detect it..

i tryed using  a usb to create Desktop PC Utility USB Drive

do i Have to format  it?

if yes, How?

Hey there....

Before reseting the software on the EVS, try connecting the computer directly to the EVS and press the IP Reset and No App dip switches and reset the device. Set the computer IP to automatic, the EVS should reset to 192.169.254.x  or even to 0.0.0.0. After that you can change the IP adress in MAX .

If that doesn't work, try connecting both the EVS and computer to a hub so that it can assign the IP adresses accordingly and place both devices on the same subnet

If you are using Vision Builder you can reinstall the EVS software from there.

Select the target and press Install/Reinstall Software

Try upgrading to MAX 5.5 by installing NI System Configuration 5.5.

That should allow you to detect the target from MAX where you can format the target and change its network settings.
