ERROR "mesa.dll could not be found"

I’m just installed CVI 2010 and rebuilt my project that was working fine under CVI 9.  I rebuilt the distribution kit and installed the project on the same computer that CVI 2010 is installed on – it all works fine.  I’m using XP SP3.

When I install the program (that I rebuilt using CVI 2010) on the customers machine I get a LabWindows/CVI error “Mesa.dll could not be found” right when starting the program.   The customer machine is also XP SP3.  The file Mesa.dll does exist on both machines and it has the same date.  The customer machine previously had the CVI 9 program installed and was working fine.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi AMM, I'm not using CVI2010 yet but I remembered to have read a problem similar to yours int his forum: could this discussion give you some help?

Hi Roberto,

I did read that thread, but no luck yet.  I'm going to try to re-install LabWindows on my development machine and select all the options (I did not install everything the first time).  I did not try the suggestion of "VS 2008 C++ runtime separately on the deployment machine" yet as I do not know how to do that :-).  I'll re-post after trying the re-install.

Thanks!

Update!

I reinstalled LabWindows on my development machine and rebuilt the distribution kit, and now everything seems to be working fine.

I'm happy you solved your problems!

Just to know: which  options didn't you installed the first time?

During the 2nd install I allowed the default device drivers to be installed.  I didn't install any thing off the device driver disk the first time as I didn't need any drivers.  Guess I was wrong!
