Hi 🙂
Am currently working on a project titled " Automatic detection Of heart Disorders and display of heart rate using labview". And I'm using a NI DAQ mx(USB 6009). But I'm not able to acquire the signals as I heard that it requires ECG leads at the input of the circuit(http://cnx.org/content/m18956/latest/) whose output is given to the DAQ. I've attached the VI I'm using. The mathscript loaded in the VI(Heart rate.mat,TI_flg.mat,v_buf.mat) are giving errors.
I further wanted to know what these mat files may contain.
Thank u in advance:)

Preethika,
I think you are complicating things, you could have acquired the signals from ECG leads and found the heart rate without using these mat files. I want to know whether this is your academic project or you are a professional. I would also like to know to which University or Company you are doing this project, as I have already implemented a similar one. I can help you in implementing this code.
regards
sunil

Also have a look at the Life Science forum. http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=LifeScience
There are many discussions on the topic of ECG.

In order to succeed in your project you must have a ECG "front end" like you showed here http://cnx.org/content/m18956/latest/ You must also use proper medical ECG electrodes. Both are are essential for your project. And well hmm for the Matlab part. I am sure you can do the same in Labview. But if it is in Matlab you will not get any help here.
Feel free to post again if you have any Labview related question regarding your project.
