convert old vi into new ones

I have an VI created with the version 5.0. Now i want to open old data in this old VI, but my version (8.2) tells me that it is not possible to open old subVIs because a block diagramm is missing in the newer version. is there a possibility of converting my old VI to a new one or do I have to create the VI again with my new version?

Hi Labteufel,

when the block diagram is missing LabView has no way to convert the vi to a new/other version. You have to rebuild the vi!
