cannot uninstall Labview 8.6, get error 1612

I tried to update my Labview from version 8.5 to 8.6 via the online download.  I installed 8.6, but then couldn't get the device drivers because the computer is very old and can't read a DVD.  So I decided to try and uninstall version 8.6 and stick with 8.5 for now.  I began the uninstall using the "Add/Remove Programs" feature, but cancelled it shortly afterward.  When I tried to uninstall again, I get the message "Error 1612 occurred.  Would like to continue this operation?"  All I want to do is completely uninstall Labview so I can reinstall version 8.5 (I have the CDs for that).  Please help!!!

Try searching the forums for a program called MSIBlast. It should help you to remove any NI software you have.

I got MSIBlast off the forum and ran it.  I selected Labview 8.6 and clicked uninstall, but it said it could not proceed and to select a director where "labview.msi" is located.  I could not find the msi file in my National Instruments downloads folder for 8.6.  It then told me that Error 1612 had occurred again.  Help!

You may try Add/Remove 4Good to uninstall stubborn applications. I've tried this powerful software. It works pretty fine on XP.
