FPGA Type Def not remembering path to bitfile

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello all,

I am having an issue with a typedef for an FPGA reference.  It seems that every time I shutdown LabVIEW, the reference reverts the path to the bitfile to a previous path.  This is not a game stopper as I just point the reference to the correct path, but does anyone have any thoughts as to what is happening?  I am currently running LV 2016 on Windows 7.

Thanks

Hi Cirrusio,

It sounds like you are just trying to change the path control to a default value, which can be done by right clicking the control >> Data Operations >> Make Current Value Default, and then saving the VI/typedef.

If that's not the case, feel free to share the typedef or provide a screenshot so we can take a look at it.

OK...I am hoping this is truly the fix that I have been looking for.  It seems to work after one time, but I have to say that I have been working with type def'ed FPGA controls for some time and I have never done this (and by never I mean nevernevernever).  Maybe I just got lucky?

Thanks for the help. m
