Hi!
I would like to increase the size of the counter in the loop rate express vi. Is this possible?
I tried to convert it to a sub vi and change the counter from there but I was asked for the six letter password...which I do not know.
Any ideas?

Hi dthrash,
By Loop Rate express VI do you mean the Loop Timer express VI? If so you should be able to double click the express VI or right-click and select properties. I attached a screenshot below of the window you should see. From there you should be able to change between a 32 bit, 16 bit, or 8 bit counter size.

Hi Kaitlin,
Thanks for your reply. 32 bit is insufficient for my needs. How do I change to an even larger register?

Hi,
32-bits is the largest counter size configurable with the Loop Timer express VI. If you need a larger size you will need to implement your own. Another option would be to use a different unit, for example the mSec unit to avoid roll over.
