Nothing is wrong with your suggestion in your message #7.

I tried to implement this (see my code in message #8), but I cannot do it better as there (see result for the red line here).

That is why I ask for a bit more help/some code examples.

I fear implementing your suggestion is more difficult than you think. Especially when you use a longer data set.

Anyway, I still hope that you or some others here can help me to improve my code so that I can get lines as here.

Dear forum users,

after some time and work, I could develop a code which works very fine for me (see attached pictures)!

The code is not so easy (no wonder that nobody gave a real code example).

Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback and the little hints!
