If you dont want a FOR loop on the diagram, that is a valid choice, especially if you need to perform this append operation in many places.
In this case you would turn this into an atomic subVI (containing a FOR loop in the subVI!) and the toplevel VI is clean and readable. 😄

Speaking as a hardware person, most code is unreadable to me. Fortunately for people like me there is LV and its graphical representation. I will say that I have grown to appreciate the power and simplicity of a FOR loop in LabView.
