Hello,
I've been having difficulties getting any sort of reasonable numbers from my Omega RTDs Model: PRTF-10-2-100-1/8-6-E, currently connected to an NI 9217 module. I think the reason why I am getting such bad numbers is because of faulty or incorrect wiring, but I am at a loss right now.
I have been using both NI MAX and DAQMX to acquire these numbers, but both yield the same -240 Deg C.
Any assistance on the matter will be most helpful.
Thanks,

Hi qphung,

And how should we solve your "most probably bad wiring" problem by looking at some MAX screenshots?
HOW did you wire those sensors? Thanks God NI they provide such good manuals explaining how to wire sensors (see page 13)!
Did you check the Pt100 sensors for "sanity" using a simple DMM with a resistance measurement?
Edit: your PRTF-10-2-100-1/8-6-E is a "standard" 2-wire sensor. Have you ever wondered why the NI9217 manual only describes how to wire 3- and 4-wire sensors? Have you converted your "standard 2-wire" sensor into a 3-wire sensor by faking the 3rd wire?

You are using a simulated device.

According to the link, that 2 does not mean 2-wire, it means "style 2" which is a 3-wire configuration.
Aputnam's observation of the simulated device being used would seem to be the likely cause.
