multisim: remove footprint before transfer to layout

Is there a way to remove a footprint from a component (ie. make it virtual) in Multisim so that it is not forwarded to Ultiboard layout?

Some components are useful to the understanding of the circuit and simulation, but are not needed in the layout as they may be chassis mounted and not part of a circuit board.

Hi Popman,

Place the part on the workspace, double-click it then Edit Component db>>footprint. Select the footprint then click the Delete. Save this part to your database.

I have the opposite problem: in version 13 (educational edition) all listed transformers are without footprint, nor they possibility to assigne one(???) . Any suggestions?
